Snowmobile Safety Courses

Snowmobiling can be a great way to spend quality time with your family. Get the kids involved early!

The Wood City Riders Snowmobile Club, in conjunction with the Minnesota DNR and Cloquet Community Education, offers a Youth Snowmobile SAFETY Training Class in Cloquet each year, usually beginning in December.

      2016 Schedule
      Students must be 12 years old to participate in the safety training.
      Students MUST ATTEND all four classroom sessions, plus a field test, when snow permits.
      Students can register by calling the Cloquet Community Education at 879-1261.
      Cost for the class is $10. $5 is paid to Community Education at the time of registration, and $5 is paid to the MN DNR via online payment once the student successfully completes the classroom training and the field test.

      Class dates are:
    • Tuesday 12/6
    • Thursday 12/8
    • Tuesday 12/13
    • Thursday 12/15

      Riding test:
    • Saturday, 12/17

All Snowmobile Safety Instructors are volunteers that have been certified by the MN-DNR, and are members of the Wood City Riders Snowmobile Club.
