Youth Safety Class 2024
Wood City Riders is pleased to announce we will be offering a Youth Snowmobile Safety Class this year. We are offering our class in the Online/Hybrid model – students take an online course ahead of time, then attend a 3-hour fundamentals class in person and finally complete a riding performance qualification test.
We are offering the fundamentals class on December 14th from 9am to Noon. Lunch will be provided at Noon, and field testing will follow in 20 minute blocks starting at 1pm. All students must attend both days at their scheduled times. The field test will be scheduled in 15-minute blocks. Should there be no-snow conditions, the field test will be postponed until conditions allow. The classroom will be held as scheduled on the 14th.
Students must be 11 years of age as of December 14, 2024 to be eligible to participate. Since this is a hybrid classroom session, we ask that a guardian attend for each youth. One guardian can cover multiple siblings.
The training will be held at the Wood City Riders Snowmobile Club Clubhouse in Cloquet, Located at 100 South Wheaton Rd in Cloquet. Registration is available on a first come, first served basis by filling out the google registration form below. The class is capped at 25 students.
To sign up, please include ALL of the following information –
Youth Name
Youth DOB
Parent/Guardian Name(s)
Parent/Guardian Phone Number(s)
Parent/Guardian Email Address(es)
This course corresponds with option #2 on the DNR website, using a hybrid for the multi class traditional model. We do not offer just the riding test, as that is not in the spirit of the training recommended by the DNR for youths 11-16.
Additional details and confirmations will be provided to students pending acceptance of their registrations.
